Dathanna

Aoife

Cén dath ba cheart dom an seomra a phéinteáil?

What colour should I paint the room?

Colm

Glas agus órga! Dathanna Chiarraí!

Green and gold! Kerry’s colours!

Orla

Ná héist leis, a Aoife. Tá dath liath go deas.

Don’t listen to him, Aoife. Grey’s a nice colour.

Dara

Liath? Cosúil leis an spéir i nDún na nGall.

Grey? Like the sky in Donegal.

Aoife

Ceart go leor. Bán, mar sin. Simplí.

Okay. White, so. Simple.

Orla

Cén dath is fearr leat?

What’s your favourite colour?

Colm

Tá geansaí nua agam. Tá sé oráiste!

I’ve a new jumper. It’s orange!

Dara

Feicfimid thú ón spás!

We’ll see you from space!

Aoife

Féach! Tuar ceatha!

Look! A rainbow!
